AmMägi Attire was established in 2022 mainly as a provider of bespoke tailoring and alteration services. The founder, Annemai Magi, is a gifted designer and talented dress maker.
“I come from a small town in Estonia, Viljandi, I've always seen fashion as a way to project yourself, so at the young age of 15 I began making simple clothes. Since then my skills and ideas have improved. I started making clothes for my family and I. As time went on my designs began to flourish and people started taking notice. I moved to England in 2003 and continued doing alterations and making tailored clothing. I disliked the idea of fast fashion, wearing your clothes once then throwing them away, I wanted to change this idea and the way people think about garments. Tailor-made items, shopped mindfully, are something you can wear to many occasions and take pride in. Clothes should last a life time not be thrown away after the first use.”
“This led me to start my own brand, AmMägi Attire, in 2022. I'm determined to change the world of fashion and give people the perfect tailored attire to add to their wardrobe. In 2023 I began showcasing the collections I created at the fashion shows in different cities in the UK and creating every next collection by adding pieces to the last one. This has received a warm welcome from audience and has given me confidence that Tailored Slow Fashion is the way forward.”
